Break the Routine

We wake up before the sun has risen to the sound of our alarm clocks on our smart phones buzzing on the night stand beside our beds. Some of us may click the snooze button once, twice and even a third time until the thought of being late for work forces us to roll out of bed and start our day. A quick shower followed by a quick breakfast as we rush out the door into our vehicles always thinking to ourselves "do I have everything I am going to need today?" Each hour of each day is fully booked as we do our best to balance our time at work with our time spent with loved ones. We rush through our day and the next thing we know is we have run out of time and the sun has gone down. We rush to bed and we do it all again.

We rush, we rush and we rush. Our days are so busy that we forget to stop and ask ourselves why are we about to do a certain task or attend a certain event. We almost never have time to ask ourselves "am I happy with what I am doing with my life today." Most of us are so busy that we have complete forgotten what actually makes us happy as we all fall into a routine as we think we are content with what we have in front of us.

Routines are an important part in everyones life as they make us feel comfortable and safe. A good routine can help us wake up early and accomplish all we want to accomplish in a day but a bad routine can be very harmful to ones self as bad habits and laziness can take over. The moment when one is going through their day mindlessly is the moment something has to change in their lives.

When we were young we all had amazing, unrealistic plans of what our lives were going to be like when we were older. Professional athletes, scientists, lawyers the list can go on and on. As time passes we get to an age where the window of opportunity to turn these crazy dreams to reality has past us by and we are stuck wondering what are we going to be in this crazy, busy and enormous world. Once we graduate high school we rush to university, college or into the work force thinking we all know the answers of how to be successful in today's world. We never stop and think as we routinely follow everyone else as we all end up fitting in to the crowd.

I have become a victim of falling into this routine. I graduated high school and went on to university. Once I was finished there I began working a job I did not enjoy but each day I woke up and went to work. I have decided to begin writing this blog to not only break my own routine but to help become more aware of yours and make you ask yourself the question "am I happy with what I am about to do today?" every time you wake up. My goal is to provide you with the right information, tips to try and answer as your questions as best as I can to help you change your routine when the answer to the question is no.

I was not satisfied or happy with what I was doing with my life each day. Once I finally realized this I was able to make the change and break my routine and so can you!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoyed! Be sure to check back for my next post!
